Document Description
The Alamitos Bay Pump Station, Discharge Line Replacement Project consists of removing the existing discharge structure and replacing it with new buried discharge pipes and a concrete outlet structure supported on driven piles. A temporary cofferdam consisting of steel push-in piles will be required for the entire perimeter of the construction area to install the buried pipes and construct of the outlet structure. The project also consists of removing the existing pump station roof and installing a new steel frame roof, 3 ft higher than the existing height to accommodate a new bridge crane. Additional improvements to the pump station include replacing the existing office, bathroom & associated amenities, and all pump station access doors. Also, electrical service disconnection, reconnection, and lighting upgrades will be performed at the pump station.
