Document Description
OMWD is proposing the San Dieguito Valley Groundwater Desalination Design Pilot, which would install and conduct a one-year pump test, to evaluate the feasibility of future desalination of the brackish groundwater in the San Dieguito Valley groundwater basin. The project would involve installation and operation of a test well, installation and operation of manganese pre-treatment equipment, discharge of pump test water to the Surf Cup irrigation pond and/or a nearby grassy swale onsite at Surf Cup. The project would involve four major components: 1) pilot hole drilling and test well construction, 2) long term pump testing, 3) field testing manganese pre-treatment system, and 4) discharge of pump test water.
