- Document Description
- The proposed project includes the construction and operation of an Emergency Vehicle Operations Center (EVOC) facility on vacant land located on the property of the Pitchess Detention Center. The EVOC would be used for the training of entry-level and in-service officers in basic and advanced vehicle handling dynamics, and evasive driving tactics. The proposed EVOC would include a 5,600 ft long high speed training track, a 4,000 ft long pursuit track arranged in a grid pattern, a role-play training village with five small structures to simulate a housing environment, skid recovery training area including a wet skid pad, a collision avoidance training area, training office and classroom buildings, surface parking lots, utility improvements, and low impact development features for the percolation of stormwater.
