- The project involves creating and maintaining 635 acres of cottonwood-willow and mesquite land cover types in compliance with conservation measures described in the Lower Colorado River Multi-Species Conservation Program. The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation would enter into an easement for conservation purposes with Metropolitan for the 635 acres of Metropolitan-owned land. Reclamation would design, construct, operate, and maintain approx 461 acres of cottonwood-willow and 167 acres of honey mesquite habitat land over types.
