Document Description
The proposed project will re-contour approx. 460 linear feet of stream bank to a 2:1 slope using excavators, dump trucks, water trucks, and bull dozers. Approx. 2,220 cubic yards of soil will be excavated from the bank and stockpiled within the Mammoth Bar OHV Area for future use. High flows from the Middle Fork, American River have eroded a portion of the OVH track and left a sheer vertical bank, which unsafe for public use. The materials generated from re-contouring the stream bank will be stockpiled within the Mammoth Bar OHV Area at an existing gravel parking lot and reused at a later date for the facility's modification. Post, contouring activities will require the installation of straw wattles, native seed, weed-free straw, and stockpile management best management practices (BMPs).
