- Document Description
- The project is limited to one temporary encroachment on Little Grass Valley Creek. The crossing shall consist of the temporary installation of a Spittler tractor skid crossing. The crossing work is associated with a Notice of Emergency Timber Operations (2-18EM-069-TRI). The Spittler crossing will consist of 20 - 30 foot logs up to the stream bank surface, with a 20-foot X 24-inch plastic culvert. Straw flakes will be utilized to cover logs to a depth >=12 inches. A soil cap with a depth of 16-18 inches will be pushed across the straw bed and compacted prior to use.

- The project is limited to a single Spittler crossing for the salvage of ~4-6 live trees. There would be no significant adverse impacts on endangered, rare, or threatened species, or their habitat, pursuant to section 15065. There are no hazardous materials at or around the project site that may be disturbed or removed. The project will not result in impacts that are significant when viewed in connection with the effects of past projects, the effects of other current projects, and the effects of probable future projects.
