Document Description
The project is located on the South West portion of the Joshua Tree community. This area is primarily comprised of dwelling units and commercial property. The Sunburst Water Main Replacement Project purpose is to replace existing water mains with new mains inside the District dedicated easement as well as San Bernardino County ROW. Due to the project's scope of work, it may be necessary to obtain additional small easements. The existing water main will be abandoned in place at average depths ranging from 3-8 ft deep. The new water mains will be placed in the existing roadway sections and will be accessible for future District maintenance. The replacement of water mains will include approx 21,500 lf of 8 and 12 inch pipe with the addition of fire hydrants, valves, and new water meters. Most of the pipe excavations will be approx 4 ft deep. The project will be implemented on the following roads: Alley Rd, Center St, Chollita Rd, Desert Air Rd, Division St, Mountain View St, Park Blvd, Sunset Rd, Sunburst St, Valley View St, Verbena Rd, Veterans Way.
