Document Description
UC Davis proposes to construct a Goat Dairy and creamery project consisting of a pre-engineered metal building of approximately 2,200 square feet to the north side of the existing goat dairy facility. The project includes a state-of-the-art milking parlor, milk room, cleaning room and aged cheese room. Fire sprinklers and a new fire alarm control panel will also be included in the project. The addition allows the campus to increase goat milk production and creates the ability to produce, market, and sell Grade A goat cheese.

The proposed project is consistent with the guidelines for implementation of the California Environmental Quality Act guidelines for Class 3 (new construction) and is consistent with the 2003 Long Range Development Plan and all applicable mitigation measures of the 2003 LRDP. In addition, no exceptions to the exemption would apply.
