Document Description
The Ordinance will require buildings to be designed to consume no more energy than permitted by the 2016 Building Energy Efficiency Standards (2016 Energy Standards) adopted by the Energy Commission. The Energy Commission's Building Standards are set forth in Title 24, Part 6 of the California Code of Regulations. The ordinance requires all new non-residential construction and non-residential remodels over $150,000 construction valuation, as verified by the city building official, to adhere to the 2016 CalGreen Tier 1 Standards.
