- Conduct geological testing on the bluff next to the Santa Cruz Mission in Santa Cruz Mission State Historic Park to guide future slope stabilization work that will ensure the safety of the Mission complex. Work will utilize a truck-mounted drill rig with 7.5" hollow-stem augers to bore two 4" to 6" diameter holes to a depth of 30' to 50' (depending on location and subsurface conditions) at the edge of the bluff within the garden. Representative soil samples will be recorded for future analysis and the holes will be backfilled with the excavated soils.
