Document Description
The District installed a 2,000 gallon per minute well, Well 5620-2, to replace a 2,300 gpm well, Well 5620-1. Well 5620-2 was connected to the system with 22 ft of 12-in diameter piping. A 192 ft building was constructed to house the 300-HP pump and motor, and a 400-ft building was built to house the motor control center and chlorine unit. A 28-ft eyewash station and a 4-ft dry well gravel pit was installed. A 1-in diameter, 40-ft chlorine line was also installed to add chlorination to the water. A 3,575 ft detention basin was modified. A 6-in diameter, 115-ft long discharge line was installed from the well to the detention basin. Guard posts were also installed and maintained. An old building and pump house was removed. Construction was completed on August 17, 2018. The project will provide for the operation of the system.
