Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2018-0208-R3, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Vallejo Yacht Club. The project is limited to dredging using a clamshell bucket or excavator to remove accumulated sediment from the Mare Island Strait. Vallejo Yacht Club will perform maintenance dredging throughout the Vallejo Yacht Club marina, including the entrance channel, turning basin, fairways, and marina berths. Approximately 61,000 cubic yards of sediment over an area of approximately 5.3 acres will be removed over the next 5 years. Dredging episodes are expected to occur approx every 4 years. Vallejo Yacht Club will dredge to a depth of approx 10 ft mean lower low water, plus a 1-ft over-dredge allowance. For the 2018 dredge episode, approx 51,000 cy of sediment over an area of approx 3.7 acres will be dredged; and the sediment will be disposed of at the Carquinez site (SF-09).
