Document Description
Implement facility improvements to the Cool Staging Area within Auburn State Recreation Area to provide improved facilities for park visitors and all abilities. Work will: In the Day Use Parking Area: -Pave and stripe the existing 90' by 170' gravel parking area to provide 33 standard parking stalls and 2 ADA compliant parking stalls; -Install a pre-cast concrete vault double restroom surrounded by 5' wide concrete apron; -Excavate to install two (2) 2'x2'x3' holes, install two (2) 4"x4" posts, backfill with concrete, and attach one (1) informational kiosk sign; -one bike wash area with hose bib requiring three 4' X 4' posts; -install one (1) steel gate at entrance to parking area and one (1) steel gate along connector between day use parking and equestrian staging area; -excavate to install a concrete accessible walkway connecting the ADA compliant parking stalls with the restroom, shade structures, information kiosk and bike wash station; -install rock slope protection/drains and rock energy dissipaters in several limited locations; -plant native trees in several locations around the parking area to provide future shade.
