Document Description
The project is limited to the inspection and survey of the Scotts Flat spillway lower plunge pool. To accomplish this, the Permittee will dewater the lower plunge pool to provide adequate access for its inspection and survey. The plunge pool is approximately 0.25 acres and approximately 10 feet deep. Dewatering will entail pumping plunge pool waters from the plunge pool into the immediately adjacent and downstream Deer Creek. This portion of deer Creek flows for 0.4 miles into the Lower Scotts Flats Resevoir. Dewatering will be accomplished using a motorized pump and a (less than) 200 foot hose. It is estimated that it will take no more than 2 days to pump the estimated two acre-feet of Lower Plunge Pool water, with additional intermittent pumping as necessary to maintain access for inspection and survey. Aquatic species rescue will be implemented after initial dewatering. Upon completion of dewatering, inspection and survey work will be performed.
