The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2019-0755-R1 , pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant. Eel River Watershed Improvement Project. The project is limited to installing 19 large woody features containing a total of 36 pieces of large wood, and planting 200 native conifers and 600 willow cuttings within 1.1 miles of Salmon Creek.

The Salmon Creek Project reach contains multiple features starting approximately 4.0 miles upstream of the confluence of Salmon Creek and Hookton Slough and approximately 0.9 miles upstream of the confluence with Little Salmon Creek.
