Document Description
An EXTENSION OF TIME for Tentative Map Waiver No. 2203529 and associated Coastal Development Permit No. 2103481 and Site Development Permit No, 2103482, Project No. 515674, to allow forth~ expansion of the existing recovery and transfer facility and increase the solid waste diversion.- Site expansion Included the parcel to the north and the alleyway to the east, which would Increase the site size from 1.61 to 2.03 acres. The existing building would be expanded by 31,130 square feet, for a total of 60,680 square feet, The project would also construct associated site
improvements (I.e., hardscape, site utilities, drainage improvements, landscaping, site parking, and walls). Allowable deviations from development regulations are being requested pertaining to driveway widths, building height, fencing, and to utilize on-street parking spaces to satisfy parking requirements. In addition, the Internal processing hours would be extended to 24 hours per day and receiving hours would be .extended by one hour to 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Operations would be extended to include Sundays In addition to Monday through Saturday. Although operational hours were extended and equipment added for mechanized processing and anaerobic digestion to achieve a higher waste diversion rate, the facility would continue to operate within the existing permitted capacity of 1,500 tons per day.
