Document Description
The Department proposes to replace the existing Limekiln Creek Bridge. The new bridge would be placed west of the existing structure and tied into the existing alignment. It would span approx 1000 ft and will have a similar profile to the existing bridge. Impacts are expected at each abutment, affecting existing embankment conditions and slop vegetation. The existing rock slope protection and sea wall protecting the north abutment of the bridge will be removed. Drainage improvements are expected. The project will require staged construction with one-way traffic control that uses temporary traffic signalization. Construction work, staging areas, and noise will affect Limekiln State Park, but it is anticipated that the State Park will remain open. However, if it can't be avoided, project work may temporarily require a partial or full closing.
