Document Description
The city of Lynwood is proposing to amend the city's general plan and zoning code to facilitate the anticipated development of a 67-unit multi-family apartment project for low- and moderate-income families. The proposed GPA intends to make changes generally applicable to the Residential category of the land use element and to the R-3 (Multi-family residential) section of the zoning code, which would add affordable housing to allowed uses within the noted section of the land use element. The proposed GPA would change the LUD of the project site from Senior Citizen Housing Development to Multi-Family Housing. The zoning code amendment adds "affordable housing" as a permitted use to the existing R-3 zone.
