Document Description
The proposed project involves emergency repairs to a graving dock, installation of a temporary cofferdam, and dewatering in order to mitigate threats to safety and property at the General Dynamics NASSCO leasehold located in San Diego, California.
The proposed project includes installation of a complete and temporary sheetpile cofferdam to fully isolate the graving dock. The cofferdam would likely consists of steel sheetpiles with welded flange plates (48 pairs of sheets), supported by plumb and battered HP steel piles (80 piles), and a steel waler system. Installation of the cofferdam will require removal of the existing concrete and steel waler at each end of the existing graving dock face, as well as removal of existing rock as needed to accomdate cofferdam installation.
