Document Description
Complete work to reroute a segment of the West Englesman Trail in Wilder Ranch State Park to enhance pedestrian hiking and biking and to provide park visitors with an improved and safer trail for recreational usage. Work will: For new 5,560' alignment: -hand remove duff and organic material and save for mulch; -cut and rake grass and save for mulch; -Manually remove all brush and limbs within the proposed new alignment and stockpile for use in the decommissioning of old route; -cut encroaching Douglas fir trees and Cotoneaster sp. and treat with herbicide -remove rails from 10' section of historic fence; -use mini-excavator to cut the tread bench to 4' wide and backslope; -Use hand crews to compact and shape -Lightly spread organic materials over fillslope, cutslope, and other disturbed surfaces; and -where needed, place several inches of rock on the tread benches and compact with plate compactors. -where needed, add crushed rock armoring along climbing turns and in swales To decommision 44, 245 of old alignment: -install signs, brush, debris, and fencing to denote closure of old road; and -repair the road drainage and install new structures to prevent water run-off along long lengths road.
