Document Description
This project will install a concrete parking area surrounding the vault restroom located at the Benson Lake Loop camping area. At the end of the project, one accessible and striped parking space will be available for public use. Work will occur within a 100' x 200' area, with the CXT as the central point, to a maximum depth of 3'. A backhoe will re-excavate and compact, with the addition of class 2 road base and drain rock to prevent future swell. Spoils will be temporarily stockpiled on site, then used near the CXT to level the ground. Maintenance staff will hand assemble concrete forms, using metal/wooden stakes, lumber, and rebar. Concrete trucks will deliver concrete to the site. The final parking pad will be 20' x 20', the sidewalk will be 8' x 15' both will be approx 6" deep. Park maintenance staff will apply the parking striping to comply with accessibility requirements.
