Document Description
This project is to install approximately 600 feet of lodge pole fencing for delineating five camp host sites at Refugio and El Capitan SB's. They will serve to better identify host sites for campers needing assistance and firewood. This is a standard application around many of our park unit campgrounds and has been done to some but not all of the sites at these two parks. The host sites proposed are on both the East and West side of Refugio, and A-Loop, B-Loop and C-Loop at El Capitan.
CDPR-approved standard project requirements have been incorporated into this project. A copy of these requirements may be obtained by submitting a request to the project environmental coordinator.

Reasons for Exemption
No potential for significant impact to the environment is anticipated in compliance with CEQA 15304. If the project is implemented as indicated within the CDPR project evaluation form to ensure the avoidance and/or minimization of adverse impacts to the environment, then it is exempt under CEQA 15304 - minor alterations to land. Class 4 consists of minor alterations to condition of land that do not include removal of healthy mature trees.
