Document Description
The project is limited to the replacement of a 10-foot span bridge with a 26.5-foot span bridge that meets current design load requirements. The existing bridge is dilapidated, old, and unsafe for use. It is all-wood construction with very basic cement footings. The new bridge design meets AASHTO H-20 and HS-20 design load requirements. It will be 12 feet wide by 45 feet long with a new span of 26.5 feet, constructed out of engineered concrete footings and sidewalls. The deck will consist of six, large steel I-beams being 29 feet long, covered by a pressure treated lumber deck using 58, 6 inch by 6 inch by 12 foot wood beams.
