Document Description
The purpose of this project is to implement wood loading in streams located within the boundaries of Portola Redwoods State Park identified as wood deficient to support the recovery of endangered Central California Coast (CCC) coho salmon and CCC steelhead. Work Will: - Use a skidder, log line, and blocks to uproot trees; - Use chainsaws and Pulaski axes to roots and branches; - Use winches and small excavator to facilitate the relocation of trees into the channel; and - If needed, repack destabilized sediment.
