Document Description
The City of Redding proposes a reconstruction and modernization project at the Oregon Street Substation. The project includes: electrical and utility system improvements; equipment replacement, security enhancements, and landscaping. A 70 foot tall communications pole will be replaced with a 90 foot pole; two existing buildings will be replaced with a new masonry control building; the existing chain link fence will be replaced with an 8 foot masonry wall and new gates; the sidewalk will be reconstructed; new landscape and irrigation systems will be installed; an oil retention system will be installed; and a new storm drain line will be installed on Oregon Street. All work will occur on City property and no new right of way is required.
