Document Description
Issue a temporary right of entry permit to city of Folsom to complete boundary vegetation modification along the canal at Folsom Powerhouse State Historic Park consistent with the Dept's Guidelines for the Protection of Structures from Wildland Fire. Work will: comply with all state and federal environmental laws, including but not limited to the endangered species act, CEQA, Section 5024 of the public resources code, and all conditions identified in the right of entry permit; and be coordinated with district staff as identified in the right of entry permit.

Reasons for Exemption
Project consists of minor alterations in land use limitations in areas with an average slope of less than 20%, which do not result in any changes in land use or density and minor alterations in the condition of land, water, and/or vegetation which do not involve removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees except for forestry or agricultural purposes. This includes fuel management activities within 30 ft of structures to reduce the volume of flammable vegetation, provided that the activities will not result in the taking of endangered, rare, or threatened plant or animal species or significant erosion and sedimentation of surface waters. This exemption shall apply to fuel management activities within 100 ft of a structure if the public agency having fire protection responsibility for the area has determined that 100 ft of fuel clearance is required due to extra hazardous fire conditions. Project activities are included as issuance of temporary use permits and resource management projects in the Dept of Parks and Rec's list of exempt activities, in accordance with CCR 15300.4.
