Document Description
Complete additional improvements in the Vista Parking Area in the Rattlesnake Bar Day Use Area of Folsom Lake State Recreation Area to provide additional amenities to visitors. Work will: excavate to install a double pre-cast concrete CXT vault toilet with ADA parking and accessible pathways from the parking area to the CXT; excavate to install a concrete pad overlook with a concrete seat wall and 3 interpretive panel signs; excavate to install 3 20'x20' steel shade ramada structures on concrete pads with concrete picnic tables installed on the pad under each shade structure; install 2 ADA compliant parking stalls (one standard stall, one van stall) for use at the shade structures and overlook with concrete accessible pathways to each; install a total of 6 ADA compliant, animal resistant, trash/recycling containers along the paved pathway to the shade structures, at the CXT, and along one of the pathways to the CXT; install concrete wheel stops at a select number of parking spots in the existing gravel Vista Parking area; treat existing yellow star thistle in previously disturbed areas within the project area, particularly at the overlook and the proposed CXT location; plant native trees, shrubs, and native seed mix in the area around the CXT, shade structures and overlook; and place rock boulders in select locations in the parking area to help define the parking area and to provide a vehicle barrier for the unpaved pathway to the CXT.
