DTSC, pursuant to the authority granted under the Health and Safety Code, Chp 6.5 of div 20, sec 25100 et. seq. and CA Code of Reg, title 22, chp 20, sec 662701 et. seq., is considering the approval of a RCRA Hazardous Waste Facility Post Closure Permit renewal for the United Technologies Corporation-Pratt & Whitney Facility located at 600 Metcalf Rd in San Jose, CA. This post closure permit renewal addresses ongoing groundwater monitoring activities to comply with the requirements of the CA Code of Regulations, title 22, div 4.5, chp 14 and article 6. The changes from the previous post-closure permit for United Technologies Corporation-Pratt & Whitney include the additional requirements of the Hydrolysis Treatment Facility and the Open Burning Facility ground water monitoring.
