Document Description
The Yosemite Spring Park Utility Company proposes to drill Well 49B, a 150-gpm 880-ft well, to replace Well 49A, a well of the same capacity and depth, as the liner has failed on Well 49A rendering the well unusable. A 6-ft existing fence will be extended 116ft^2 to enclose the new well. An existing shade cover will house the treatment facilities and pump. (The existing treatment facilities includes a 55-gallon tank of ortho-polyphosphate for iron and manganese treatment and a 30-gallon tank of sodium hypochlorite for disinfection.) The existing treatment facilities and pumps will be moved 3 ft towards the well. The existing 3/8 in diameter chlorination piping will be extended 5 ft from the tank to the chlorine injection port. The 3/8-in diameter iron and manganese treatment piping from the tank to the injection port will also be extended 3 ft. The well will be connected to the rest of the system with 5 ft of 3-in diameter piping. A 2-in diameter, 8-ft long discharge line will also be installed from the well to the discharge point. Electrical controls will also be installed. Well 49A will be decommissioned. The project will provide for the operation of the system.
