Document Description
The California Department of Transportation proposes a Minor B project to divert water runoff from a bridge located on State Route 49 at post mile 2.9 within Mariposa County, over the East Fork Chowchilla River. The scope of work includes extending an existing drainage pipe, and placing structural fill material and Rock Slope Protection. All work will occur within existing Caltrans Right of Way. A temporary Construction Easement may be required for access to the project area. The purpose of this project is to prevent further erosion to the foundation of Abutment #4. The need for this project is to maintain functionality of the bridge and ensure motorist safety.
