Document Description
The Stanislaus County Dept of Public Works is proposing to construct operational improvements at the Golden State Boulevard/Golf Road/Berkeley Avenue Intersections. The project site is located just south of the city of Turlock in the southern portion of the county. The purpose of the project is to improve regional air quality by reducing emissions and alleviating congestion. This would be achieved by redesigning the intersections to upgrade their current operational Level of Service and reducing idling time for automobile traffic. The current LOS at these intersections is a LOS F, which is greater than 80 seconds of delay. County standards call for a LOS of C or better (20-35 seconds of delay). The proposed improvements would provide for LOS of C and would reduce delay to 27 to 30 seconds by year 2030.
