Document Description
The project site, known as Aster Farms is located in a rural area of the county and is approx 35 acres in size. The parcel is accessible through an existing access easement off of Old Hwy 20 which is located within the county of Mendocino. The project site is currently developed with an 18 ft wide graveled access road, a single family residence approx 1,008 (28'x36'x12') sf in size served by an existing onsite waste management system and existing well, a garage approx 673 (24'x28'x14') sf in size, two sheds 1 shed is approx 32 (4'x8'10') sf in size and the second shed is approx 72 (6'x12'x10') sf in size, a class II Stream with 1601 Water Permit, a natural spring water source, 3 - 2,500 and 1 1,000 gallon water tanks [all water tanks serve the existing residence and proposed cultivation site], an existing cultivation site approx 9,800 sf in size which is enclosed by a 6 ft wire fence and steel gate with a combination lock, and within the existing cultivation site, there is a compost pile approx 128 (8'x16') sf in size and a storage shed approx 120 (10'x12'x10) sf in size. The applicant is requesting approval of a major use permit to obtain the following licenses for the cultivation of commercial cannabis.
