Document Description
CARB staff is proposing to amend the At Berth regulation. The proposed regulation will continue controls of vessels covered under the existing regulation plus, require additional vessel types, ro-ro/auto, bulk/general cargo and tankers, and additional California ports to reduce emissions from vessels while at berth and at anchor. The proposed regulationn is designed to reduce additional NOx, PM, diesel PM and GHG emissions already achieves by the orginal At-Berth Regulation. The proposed regulation will also include NOx, PM, and GHG emission reductions from boilers on tankers which operate large steam driven boilers for offloading purposes.
