Document Description
NID is proposing to remove and dispose of the existing Hypalon-lined Alta Sierra Reservoir and construct two new water storage tanks within the same footprint. The Hypalon lining is deteriorating and nearing the end of its useful life. The new tanks would be concrete that may be stained a neutral color to blend with the surrounding environment and would be covered. The configuration of the two tanks would be derived during the design process, keeping with the existing berm footprint. The roof of the tank would be approx 30 ft high, which would result in approx 14 ft above the existing berm. The earthen berm surrounding the existing reservoir would be reconfigured for tank construction.
