Document Description
The proposed project consists of re-grading the existing non-standard I-40 median cross slopes within the 30-ft clear recovery zone from existing, which vary from 2:1 to 6:1 or steeper, to 10:1 or flatter. The proposed improvements would require substantial fill material and modification of existing drainage facilities within the median. Drainage modification and improvement work would consist of reconstruction of existing off-site drainage facilities by extending the storm drain in the median (Caltrans 2015).
