Document Description
The District proposes to annually clear/grub various dry shoreline areas of Big Bear Lake to remove up to 1.5 ft soil and roots of invasive dead/dying invasive aquatic and terrestrial species concentrated along the exposed lake bed that has been dry for several years from drought. It is estimated that approx 100,000 cy over approx 50 acres annually will be removed, which includes work on both the district and non-district property. Work will occur annually generally between April 15 and Dec 1. The district has developed a number of Best Management Operational Practices to protect the shoreline resources.
