The project is located southwest of the San Gabriel Mountain is an urbanized area of the city of LA. The proposed recycled water tank will be located on an undeveloped hill on LA County Airport property adjacent to a residential neighborhood of Pacoima. Pipeline will be installed on mix commercial city streets and golf course roadways.
Document Description
The objectives of the project are to improve the overall capacity and reliability of the city of LA recycled water system by eliminating the closed system operation of the Hansen Dam Golf Course pumping station. The project includes the following elements: 1) installation of a one-million gallon capacity recycled water tank; 2) Demolition of one residential house to allow construction of a tank access road; 3) installation of a 15-ft wide access road; 4) installation of 700 ft of 8-in potable water back up line; 5) installation of 8,400 ft of 20-in recycled water distribution pipeline; and 6) installation of a perimeter security fence.
