Document Description
The City of Shafter is proposing to upgrade the existing Kirschenmann Park Irrigation System with a Land and Water Conservation Fund Grant through the State of CA Dept. of Parks and Recreation. Kirschenmann Park features a large baseball field complete with sports lighting for night events, an announcer's box, and snack bar areas. The City will replace the existing irrigation system to meet more modern efficiency standards for water conservation purposes. The project will not expand the capacity of the existing irrigation system, expand any use of the park, or cause new development on the subject park site. Kirschenmann Park is located at 400 East Euclid Avenue, just west of the South Central Valley Highway (SR 43).
