- Document Description
- SBVMWD receives its State Water Project (SWP) supplies through its turnout(s) located in the CA Aqueduct's East Branch Extension. However, due to a planned temporary outage of the East Branch Extension, DWR will not be able to deliver SWP supplies to SBVMWD. MWDSC has proposed to assist SBVMWD to receive its approved 2018 SWP Table A water (SBVMWD's Table A water) during this outage using either of the two mechanisms. The first mechanism is for DWR to make SBVMWD's Table A water available to MWDSC in the Devil Canyon Afterbay for subsequent delivery to SBVMWD's service area via MWDSC's Inland Feeder. The second mechanism is for DWR to make SBVMWD's water available to MWDSC in the Devil Canyon Afterbay for subsequent delivery to its service area via MWDSC's Rialto Pipeline. Using this second mechanism, MWDSC will deliver in exchange an equal amount of its water supplies stored in Diamond Valley Lake to SBVMWD's service area via MWDSC's Inland Feeder.
