Document Description
DWR will convey up to 1,700 acre-feet of Non-project water to SGPWA. This non-project water is "Nickel Water" located in Kern County. Antelope Valley-East Kern Water Agency acquired the rights to take annual delivery of 1,700 acre-feet of this "Nickel Water" through a series of agreements described in and attached to the July 7, 2017 Water Supply Agreement between SGPWA and AVEK. This July 7, 2017 Water Supply Agreement between SGPWA and AVEK sets forth the terms of SGPWA's purchase of this 1,700 acre-feet of non-project water. KCWA will make the non-project water available in reach 12E of the CA Aqueduct for subsequent delivery to SGPWA's service area. SGPWA requests that this non-project water be conveyed under article 55 of its water supply contract.
