Document Description
Project is limited to the replacement of existing exposed worn dock area and construction of a wider deck area (total 400 sq. ft. = 20 feet by 20 feet) at the end of an existing dock. The project includes placement of six concrete footings for six to eight new steel support piers for the new deck area. Top boards will only be replaced on the existing dock. No removal of support structures is anticipated. The pier connection to the existing stem wall will not be disturbed. The deck material above the waterline might be a poly product called "Trek" with a cedar fascia board below it or a hardwood called "Ironwood". Equipment includes a cement mixer, hand shovels, and hand tools.
