- Replace a failed well near Deer Valley Road in Marsh Creek State Historic Park to provide water for cattle in the park. Work will: Drill a new 6 to 8 inch diameter by 300 feet deep well near the old well site; Install an above ground 5000 gallon water storage tank with a solar pumping plant; Exacavate to install a 12' x 15' x 6' deep concrete pad for a new 650 gallon watering trough approx. 400' from the well; Run approx. 400' of 1 1/4 HDPE pipeline above-ground to connect the new trough to the newl well; Fill the old well with bentonite or concrete/cement per Contra Costa County Well Destruction Guidelines; and Preserve the existing onsite historic equipment in, or near, their existing locations to maintain their cultural landscape values
