Document Description
The low-level (LLO) gate at the Pit 1 Forebay Dam located between the two radial gates will not operate. Some water is passing through the LLO because the gate cannot be completely closed using the existing stem drive actuator. The stem drive actuator is functional and Pacific Gas and Electric Company has visually verified that the portion of the stem drive above the water level is functional; it is believed that the stem had broken below the water line. The purpose of the project is to inspect both sides of the LLO. The inspections are needed to assess conditions of the LLO gate and plan repairs.
