Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2019-0088-R3, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Regina Espinoza, Bethel Island Municipal Improvement District (BIMID). BIMID will improve the levee between stations 0+00 to 130+00 to Bulletin 192-82 standards which includes raising the levee crest to an elevation to 10. 5 feet above mean sea level, widening the levee crest to 22 feet and installing an all-weather road on the crown, installing new or enhancing existing riprap on the waterside slope as needed to minimize scour and maintain a 2H: 1V waterside slope, and flattening the landside slope to 5H: 1V. The project also
includes habitat enhancement through the creation of a 10-foot wide waterside bench between stations 55+00 to 90+00 and 103+00 to 113+00 planted with native emergent aquatic vegetation and woody species.
