Document Description
CDCR is preparing a Climate Action Plan (CAP) that will serve as both a greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction plan and a climate adaptation strategy for CDCR facilities, operations, and investment decisions. The CAP is being prepared to build on CDCR's sustainability achievements to date, pursuant to relevant Executive Orders (EOs) and legislation, and identify additional actions that would reduce GHG emissions and prepare CDCR facilities and operations for the impacts of climate change. The CAP would cover CDCR's 34 adult Institutions, one leased adult correctional facility, three juvenile facilities, and owned and leased administrative and parole offices throughout California.
