Document Description
Soils adjacent to the eastern portion of the Band Building at the Carquinez Middle School (Site) contains lead which was identified as the chemical of concern (COC) and could result in potentially unacceptable risks and hazards for future users. The lead was detected in soil north of the main school building and near the eastern portion of the band building. Proposed cleanup activities involve excavating contaminated soil from the Site and then transporting and disposing of appropriately as hazardous or non-hazardous waste. The project involves approval of a Remedial Action Workplan (RAW) for the Site to address the removal of lead from five excavation areas. The Site is located at 1099 Pomona Street in the community of Crockett, California.
