Document Description
The Project proposes to reconductor approximately 111 miles of existing electrical transmission line and replace the hardware on 374 existing structures. No new permanent structures will be built. Work will be done using ground-based equipment at 28 wire setup site and using helicopters at all tower sites. Helicopters will be used to transport workers and equipment to the project work areas. Flight pahs and landing zone will be along the existing utility corridor. Helicopters will use 3 local airports: Banning Municipal Airport, Chiriaco Summit Airport, and Blythe Airport.
