Document Description
LADWP proposes to implement a response action to address releases of contaminants in groundwater that are migrating to the Tujunga Well Field. If LADWP adopts this plan following the public comment period and review of public comment, LADWP would (a) install a treatment system on LADWP property at the Tujunga Spreading Grounds in Sun Valley, LA capable of treating the contaminants, (b) connect the affected wells to that system, and (c) operate its existing wells at this well field, in a manner that minimizes the spread of the contaminant mass, limits further degradation of the groundwater basin directly downgraded of the Tujunga Wells, removes contaminant mass from the aquifer, and restore LADWP's capability to operate its existing well field.
