Document Description
The TMDCI is proposing to reduce the establishment and propagation of native trees on long-exposed former playa of the Salto Sea, using constructed small rain harvest basins and biodegradable paper pulp containers that have been proven to allow 1-gallon size trees to successfully establish themselves in the arid, harsh environments o over 23 countries with similar conditions. The TMDCI also plans to eradicate approx. 6 acres of invasive tamarisk in the project area, using mechanical methods successfully utilized on other parts of their reservation.
