Document Description
Note: Extended Per Lead The proposed project consists of the demolition of the existing 14,319 sf, partial two-story field office located at 3960 Normal Ave in the Hillcrest neighborhood of San Diego and construction of a new field office on the same 2.46-acre site. The proposed max 18,540 sf single story building would be approx 35 ft high above finish floor elevation as measured at top of roof at its highest point. The west-facing facade of the building would include an attached carport canopy extending from the building over drive test and vehicle verification lanes. The new field office is designed to accommodate the existing daily staff and existing number of daily customers. Outside of the facility a series of plaza spaces linking parking and the main entrance on the building's north facade are proposed. The project would also change on the on-site circulation system and parking lot layout to optimize on-site circulation. The proposed parking lot layout and configuration would accommodate approx 141 parking spaces. The parking lot would accommodate a vehicle staging area with carport and test lanes, and one lane to circumvent test lanes. A 7-ft high ornamental wrought-iron fence with a painted finish and motorized cantilevered rolling gates at site driveways off Normal St and Cleveland Ave would be installed along the site perimeter. The project also includes site work, and installation of utilities, walkways, curbs and gutters, signage, landscaping and irrigation, trash enclosures, site drainage, site lighting, surface parking, and fencing. An outdoor public address system would be installed at the facility to notify customers waiting in the plaza or parking lot areas of appointments.
